About Us

Built to rethink the immigration experience.

We saw a broken industry firsthand. So we built the alternative.

Our Story

Exceptional talent deserves more than a one-size-fits-all process.

We spent years inside the institutions that shape global immigration: U.S. consular operations, the United Nations, and Fortune 500 mobility programs. We saw what exceptional immigration support looked like when everything worked. And we saw, repeatedly, what happened when it didn’t.

The legal expertise existed. But the experience surrounding it was consistently fragmented, transactional, and opaque, even for highly accomplished individuals and sophisticated organizations. The industry’s answer was to automate its way out of the problem.

We disagreed.

Anyone can spot a broken industry. Far fewer know where it actually breaks. Today’s wave of AI-first immigration solutions are being built by people who identified an opportunity. Novarra was built by someone who spent years running it. That difference is not a footnote. It is the entire foundation.

Technology should sharpen the process. It shouldn’t replace the people responsible for guiding it.

Strong outcomes require more than software. They require legal strategy, operational precision, and a team that takes your case as seriously as you do. So we built Novarra around that belief, separating legal strategy from operational execution so attorneys can focus on what they do best, while our team ensures every detail surrounding your case is managed with intention and care.

This is immigration, rebuilt.

Our Founders

The team behind Novarra.

Alexis Torresan

Alexis Torresan

Co-Founder · CEO

Alexis has spent over a decade at the center of high-stakes immigration: inside U.S. consular operations, at the United Nations, and leading enterprise global mobility programs for Fortune 500 organizations. She has built and scaled immigration teams from the ground up, designing the processes, systems, and standards that allow complex cases to move with both speed and precision.

Where most of the industry defaulted to fragmented workflows and transactional service, Alexis saw a better way. She has consistently pushed immigration operations forward, combining process innovation, technology, and hands-on leadership to deliver outcomes traditional models were never designed to achieve.

At Novarra, she leads the full client and case experience. Her approach is direct: every client deserves a process that is organized, transparent, and built around their outcome, not around the convenience of the firm managing it.

That belief is the foundation Novarra was built on.

Jon Torresan

Jon Torresan

Co-Founder · CRO

Jon has spent his career helping fast-growing organizations solve complex problems through strategy, technology, and the kind of relationships that actually move things forward. He knows how to identify what a market needs, build the right solution, and bring the right people to the table.

At Novarra, Jon leads business development and oversees the proprietary platform that powers how the firm operates. He is building the technology infrastructure that gives clients, attorneys, and HR teams real-time visibility and control over every stage of the immigration process, replacing the opacity that has defined the industry for decades.

His approach is straightforward: every company and individual Novarra works with deserves a partner who is as invested in the outcome as they are. Jon makes sure that standard is built into every client relationship from the very first conversation.

Attorney Network

A curated network of experienced U.S. immigration attorneys.

Novarra works alongside a curated network of independent U.S. immigration attorneys with experience spanning Fortune 500 mobility programs, corporate immigration, and complex, high-stakes matters. Every attorney provides legal advice, case strategy, petition review, and final legal sign-off.

Each case is thoughtfully matched with counsel whose expertise aligns with the client’s visa type, goals, and circumstances, allowing for a more strategic and tailored legal approach.

This independence is intentional. By keeping legal strategy and operational execution separate, attorneys are free to focus entirely on the work that wins cases, while Novarra manages the coordination, communication, and client experience surrounding the process.

We believe sophisticated immigration matters deserve a more thoughtful and modern experience, combining experienced legal guidance with high-touch operational support from beginning to end.

Immigration is deeply personal.

Behind every case is a person, a family, or a future being built. The stakes are real, and the experience should reflect that. At Novarra, that means expert strategy, clear communication, and a team that never loses sight of what is actually at stake. You should never have to wonder where your case stands or whether the right people are on it. We make sure you never do.
